At HURTBOX it’s not all about the training inside and boosting your power… although that does play a big part! We also get people riding outdoors to get them practicing fundamental handling and riding skills that not only make you more confident on the road, but will also keep you safe out there.
So, through the summer in and into autumn late last year we ran our first series of Handling & Skills sessions at Winchester South Park and Ride, and they were immensely popular! We practiced cornering skills, riding in a pack, sprint efforts on the road, transition skills (for those duathletes and triathletes out there) as well as the basics and building blocks to get you doing flying mounts (an extremely impressive and great time saving skill in duathlons and triathlons)… If you’re not sure what a flying mount is, check out YouTube for some great examples!
If these are the kind of skills that you think you would benefit from practicing, sign up to our next class on Friday 26th May! The class will start at approximately 19:00 and run until about 20:30.
These sessions are great fun so get involved!
